IJPC Dialogue on Immigration

Enjoy some "summer" food for thought by coming to IJPC's Day of Dialogue on Immigration. To add to the enjoyment, bring friends and family members so you can carry on the dialogue after the event is over.

The mission for the Days of Dialogue is to create and facilitate experiences of learning about how to really listen to others whose opinions differ on significant social issues. We are here to promote civil discourse, to stimulate critical thinking, and to create an opportunity where people can talk with others who differ, in a safe and comfortable setting where true learning can occur.

Our event program for Immigration and Our Jobs is:
8:30 - Registration, Refreshments and live Music
9:00 - Welcome and Introduction
9:10-10:30 - Guest Speakers
10:30 - Break
10:45 - noon - Facilitated Small Group Break Out Session

Come and hear an immigrant worker, an immigrant lawyer, a NAACP member and a union representative reflect on their experiences with immigration and the workplace. Add your thoughts to the mix in respectful, facilitate small group discussions.

When: Saturday, July 19, 9 a.m. - noon
Where: First Unitarian Church (536 Linton St.) at corner of Reading

Please share this message with others so that we can have a diversity of opinion in our small groups. Visit our website at www.ijpc-cincinnati.org to see our 3 flyers for the event - in English, Spanish and French.

To kick off the day we will have live Guatemalan music! See you there.
